He started the seminar by holding up a $20 bill and asking, ”Who would like this bill?”
Hands went up. He said, “I am going to give it to one of you, but first, I’m going to crumple it up.”
Still hands were in the air. So he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. It was all crumpled and dirty.
Still people wanted it.
He said, “My friends, you have learned a valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the bill, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.”
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt. We feel worthless.
But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. You are special – Don’t ever forget it!
