Puppies for Sale

A farmer had puppies to sell. A boy came up and wanted one. The farmer said, “these puppies come from fine parents and cost a lot of money.”
The boy said. “I’ve got 39 Cents. Is that enough to take a look?”
Sure, the farmer said.
Out ran the mother followed by four little balls of fur. The boy’s eyes danced with delight.
As they made their way to them, the boy noticed another little ball coming much slower and hobbling towards them, doing its best to catch up….
“I want that one,” the boy said, pointing to the runt.
The farmer knelt down and said, “Son, you don’t want that puppy. He’ll never be able to run and play with you like the others”
The boy rolled up one of his pant legs. He had a steel brace running down his leg. He said, “You see sir, I don’t run too well myself, and he will need someone who understands.”
