Michael Jordan on Leadership

Written by curt. No comments Posted in: Podcast

I’ve always tried to lead by example I never tried to motivate by talking because I don’t think that words mean as much as actions. A leader has to earn that title. You aren’t a leader because you are the best on the team or the smartest in the class. …you have to gain the respect of those around you by your actions. You have to be consistent …Those around you need to know what they can expect from you. …A leader cannot make excuses…. Off the court, on the court, inside the classroom, on the playground, inside and outside of the meeting room and work. You have to be willing to sacrifice individual goals if necessary for the good of the team. Along the way you will need to stand up for what you believe and hold onto your convictions. Every home, every business and every neighborhood needs someone to lead.
