Award Winning Corn

Written by curt. No comments Posted in: Podcast

A farmer grew award-winning corn that won the blue ribbon at the state fair.
A reporter interviewed the farmer and discovered he shared his seed with his neighbors. The reporter asked why he would share his corn with his competitors.

The farmer said, “The wind picks up pollen from the corn and swirls it from field to field. If my neighbors grow inferior corn, it will steadily degrade the quality of my corn. If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn.”
That is the connectedness of life. His corn could not improve unless his neighbor’s corn also improves.
If we want to be at peace, we must help our neighbors be at peace. If we want to be happy, we must help others find happiness.

The lesson to be learned is: In order to grow good corn, we must help our neighbors grow good corn.
